Richard G. Miller

Nov. 6.

The boys went back to Bg. and the 98th redeemed themselves by firing a good sized tanker. Our boys hit clouds of Ak-Ak - every ship hit many times - is getting mighty rugged over that harbor.

Pursuit gave them a little trouble also. Desert affair sounds a lot better; maybe all our hard work for past 3 months won'-t be entirely in vain. I hope!!

Rumor still says we'll get D.F.C's for 200 hrs. combat and Airman's Medal for 100 hrs, but I still haven't seen any medals.

At the 2017 reunion, the board approved the donation of our archives to the Briscoe Center for American History, located on the University of Texas - Austin campus.

Also, the board approved a $5,000 donation to add to Ed Clendenin's $20,000 donation in the memory of his father. Together, these funds begin an endowment for the preservation of the 376 archives.
