Henry M. Showalter

My grandfather was on a B-24 shot down over Italy . Thanks to this website I found which plane(42-40110 Pink Lady - shot down July 16), and crew (513th Squadron). He had amazing stories about his time as a POW. One of the relics he had was a book with a list of all the names of POWs at the camp he was in. This book was used during the Nuremberg trials. He passed June 10, 2004 in Huron, SD.

Great story. Can you tell us his rank and position of service in the plane? Is there a copy of the book he kept? Thank you!
