Roger Arendsee the mission of Sep 10, 1944

Roger Arendsee notes on the mission of September 10, 1944.

Ordinance Plant at Vienna, Austria. Flak was intense, heavy, & accurate. Hit our nose turret again. Kessey & Monowitz each got Purple Heart, but nothing serious. We saw at least 5 planes go down. Saw about 11 chutes ourselves. I only saw one though. James crew bailed out over Adriatic. [Or perhaps ditched.]

At the 2017 reunion, the board approved the donation of our archives to the Briscoe Center for American History, located on the University of Texas - Austin campus.

Also, the board approved a $5,000 donation to add to Ed Clendenin's $20,000 donation in the memory of his father. Together, these funds begin an endowment for the preservation of the 376 archives.
