“Air (Plane) conditioning”
Mission #36, 37 –target – Markersdorf Airdrome 30 miles west of Vienna in Austria. Takeoff 0715 Landing 1415 (0700) total combat hours (196:30) Load 4800 lbs (frag bombs 40 clusters – 6 to a cluster, each weighing 20 lbs). Remarks:
1) The entire 15th Air Force went to the Vienna area
2) Moderate, inaccurate flak encountered before IP
3) No flak in target area
4) Fighters in vicinity but we were unmolested
5) It was the group’s 300th mission
6) Casualties none
7) Statistics – total bomb tonnage (127,600 lbs )(63.8 tons)

At the 2017 reunion, the board approved the donation of our archives to the Briscoe Center for American History, located on the University of Texas - Austin campus.
Also, the board approved a $5,000 donation to add to Ed Clendenin's $20,000 donation in the memory of his father. Together, these funds begin an endowment for the preservation of the 376 archives.
