near Athens

Went on a mission to Hassini Aerodome near Athens. The mission was a success as far as I know. I had a view of the stadium in Athens-it wasn't as I'd like it to be on the ground, you see I saw it from 25,000 ft. and one can't see much at that height. It looked plenty large even from that height. We were attacked by two or four fighters. We shot down one of them-a direct hit by Piper did the trick. I flew the mission and I really worked hard-I thought the fighter was going to come right through my window. It scared the daylights out of me I might add. .......

At the 2017 reunion, the board approved the donation of our archives to the Briscoe Center for American History, located on the University of Texas - Austin campus.

Also, the board approved a $5,000 donation to add to Ed Clendenin's $20,000 donation in the memory of his father. Together, these funds begin an endowment for the preservation of the 376 archives.
