Joseph J. Bitzer, Mission April 15, 1945
On April 15 the BITZ-KRIEGERS flew our last mission with the 376th Bomb Group. This was to Bologna - East Area. We can conclude that our latest bombing of the troops helped force them further North, with Bologna being a heavily concentrated spot, and presumably with others taking out the West Area, and so on. Moving to Foggia meant a bit shorter trip into battle, too.

At the 2017 reunion, the board approved the donation of our archives to the Briscoe Center for American History, located on the University of Texas - Austin campus.
Also, the board approved a $5,000 donation to add to Ed Clendenin's $20,000 donation in the memory of his father. Together, these funds begin an endowment for the preservation of the 376 archives.
