41-11597 Blue Goose
Blue Goose, serial number 41-11597, was one of the 23 HALPRO B-24s. Her RCL was #19. She was on the first HALPRO mission to the Ploesti oilfields on June 12, 1942.
The pilot of the crew was Edward "Hawk" Cave. Running low on fuel, the plane diverted to Turkey, where the crew and plane was interred. The crew was released in May 1943.

At the 2017 reunion, the board approved the donation of our archives to the Briscoe Center for American History, located on the University of Texas - Austin campus.
Also, the board approved a $5,000 donation to add to Ed Clendenin's $20,000 donation in the memory of his father. Together, these funds begin an endowment for the preservation of the 376 archives.
