Unknown B-24 with map of Austria

We received the above photo from Mark Coffee, historian for the 449 Bomb Group.  Mark wrote the following:

"I believe the photos were taken at the Gioia Depot at the end of the war as they are from various groups and some appear to be in the process of salvage. The photo appears to have the Liberandos insignia on the left, but I couldn't identify the plane. "

At the 2017 reunion, the board approved the donation of our archives to the Briscoe Center for American History, located on the University of Texas - Austin campus.

Also, the board approved a $5,000 donation to add to Ed Clendenin's $20,000 donation in the memory of his father. Together, these funds begin an endowment for the preservation of the 376 archives.
